Kenya’s First Lady Inaugurates the First Lady’s Women Leadership at Kenya School of Government

EAT Reporter 5/3/25: As the World gears for the International Women’s Day on 8th March, the Premier Training Institution in Kenya for Governance and Administration the Kenya School of Government held a Dedicated Women’s Conference under the theme ‘ Bridging Generations: Advancing Gender Equality and Harnessing Innovation

In his welcoming address, the Director General of KSG Professor Nura Mohamed thanked the First Lady for gracing the launch. “We are delighted that the First Lady is present to launch the curriculum on First Lady’s Young Ladies Leadership Fellowship which is a Flagship projects at the Kenya school of Government,” said Prof.Nura Mohamed.

Professor Nura added that the conference was to have discussion and capacity building discourse on how to advance transformative agenda on financial inclusion, digital literary in realization of the gender agenda.

The Chief Guest, the First Lady Republic of Kenya Rachel Ruto while officially opening the conference lauded the Kenya School of Government for coming up with these celebrations as a precursor to the International Women day.

“Am glad to join the Kenya School of Government’s Women Conference as part of the 2025 International Women’s Week celebrations, where they will be a launch of leadership program which targets young women on leadership” Said H.E Rachel Ruto.

During the week long celebrations, the First Lady’s Women Leadership Fellowship, an initiative designed to equip young women with the skills and knowledge they need to make a greater impact on our nation’s social and economic development will headline the discussions.
