Kenyan Olympic 800m champion David Rudisha to Compete at Shanghai 2018 Diamond League

Organizers of the Shanghai event announced on Thursday that 14 world and Olympic champions who include Kenya’s record breaker David Rudisha will join other stars of international track and field for the one-day competition.

Rudisha, 28, has not raced since he injured his thigh in July 2017, which ultimately ruled him out of the London World Championships set in August.

Other reigning Diamond League champions who will be looking for early points include the women’s 400m hurdles champion Dalilah Muhammad, and world indoor and outdoor high jump  champion Mariya Lasitskene.
